Roxbury Township,   Mr. John James McGuire (80) died on November 18, 2010 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Dover before moving to Ledgewood 52 years ago. He was a Union Electrician in Local 102 for 40 years before retiring in 1990. He also loved woodworking and traveling in his motor home.

Mr. McGuire was predeceased by his first wife Christina in 1976, and is survived by his wife Sandy McGuire of 29 years, children; Robin (and John) Provost of Fountain Hills, AZ, Jamie (and Skip) Lerman of Hopatcong, Kris (and Dan) McVeigh of Byram Twp., Beth Ann (and Michael) Dolff of Germany, and David Sweedy of Ledgewood. He also leaves his 6 grandchildren; Matthew and Brian Provost, Alexander and Paige McVeigh, and Joschi and Roxane Dolff, his sister Kate Conroy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 main street, Succasunna, (davishepplewhitefh.com), on Sunday from 2-5 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, 10 am at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Stanhope Union Cemetery.
