Roxbury Township, Mr. John J Bauer, 73, died on July 7, 2021 at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Passaic and grew up in Garfield. He lived in Hopatcong Boro before moving to Succasunna 24 years ago. He served in the U S Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was the owner and principal driver for the Bauer Trucking Company.

 He is survived by his wife Delores Ann (nee Sbarbori) Bauer of 54 years, and by his 3 children; Jeremy J (and Beti) Bauer of Rockaway, Amy C (and Richard) Hecht of Long Beach, CA, and Matthew J (and Erin) Bauer of Succasunna. He also leaves his 4 grandchildren; Tyler Bauer, Jack Bauer, Sadie Bauer, and Evan Bauer, and his sister, Beverly (and Charles) Anzolut of Wayne, NJ.

 John loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, enjoyed yearly trips to Maine with his wife, and will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and big heart.

 Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (www.davishepplewhitefh.com) on Monday (July 12^th) from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 11 am, at the Funeral Home followed by the interment, with Military Honors, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
