Roxbury Township, Mrs. Jean E Schoch, 93, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023 in the comfort of her own home, with loved ones at her side. Jean was born in Deposit, NY on May 22, 1930. Upon her marriage on July 14, 1951, to the love of her life, Leroy S Schoch, in Tobyhanna, PA, they moved to  Succasunna and then settled in Kenvil for over 50 years.

Early in marriage, Jean held various jobs but enjoyed being a homemaker to her husband and five children the most. Later in life, Jean enjoyed spending time with her senior group friends, family and traveling. Jeans kind and gentle soul brought so much love and compassion to many rescued four-legged friends throughout the years, sadly leaving behind her beloved faithful companion, Tess.

She was predeceased by her husband Leroy S Schoch, Jr. in 1987, her daughter Beverly Wells in 2019, and her grandson Zachary Schoch in 2017. She is survived by her daughters; Sherry and Tammy of Kenvil, her son Leroy (and his wife Patricia) Schoch III from Rockaway, her son Brian (and his wife Cheryl) Schoch from Kenvil, and her son-in-law Mark Wells from Manchester, CT. Jean also leaves behind her 4 grandchildren; Chris and Trevor Wells, and Paige and Austin Schoch, along with 4 great grandchildren, and close family friends.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday from 11 am – 1 pm. The Funeral Service will then be held on Friday, 1 pm at the Funeral Home. The interment will follow at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
