Morristown, NJ –   Mrs. Helen Arnett Sonnemann, 91, formerly of Chappaqua, NY, died on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Morris Plains, NJ. She was born on December 7, 1920 to the late George C. and Louise Mueller Arnett and raised in Carlinville, IL.  She was married to Roger C.  Sonnemann, also of Carlinville, who predeceased her in 1993.  She was also predeceased by her sister Margaret Arnett Russell in 2003. She is survived by her son and daughter in law David Brent and Judithann Sonnemann of Southbury, CT, daughter Judith Sonnemann Turner of Bethlehem, PA, 4 granddaughters; Terri Lynn Sonnemann of Waterbury, CT, Tracy Leigh Sonnemann of Randolph, MA, Jessica Sonnemann Schamburg (and Douglas) of Bel Air, MD, and Kristen Turner (and Joshua) Gillem of Hellertown, PA, and 4 great grandchildren; Oliver and Wren Schamburg and Hannah and Leah Gillem.
 
Mrs. Sonnemann and the family moved to Chappaqua, NY in 1960 where she lived for 45 years before moving to Morris Plains 7 years ago.  Mrs. Sonnemann was a 69 year member of PEO, an organization helping to educate women.   She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Chappaqua until her move to Morris Plains.

Her Memorial Service will be held on March 3, 2012 at the First Congregational Church in Chappaqua, NY at 2:00  pm.  A reception will be held in the church following the service.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the church.  Arrangements are by the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna, NJ.
