Jefferson Township, Mr. Gordon “Ernie” Sprague, 65, died on September 8, 2014 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover. He was born in New York City and graduated from Summit High School in 1968. He moved to Lake Hopatcong 13 years ago. He was working for the Summit Truck & Auto Body Co. in Summit for more than 20 years.

He was the son of Richard and Caroline Sprague and is survived by his son Ernest Sprague (and Rachel Lynch) of Lake Hopatcong, 2 sisters; Lauren (and Dennis) Lynch of Downingtown, PA, and Janice (and John) Scholz of Hopatcong. He also leaves his 3nieces Heather, Shawna, Montana and nephew Matthew, and 2 great nieces and great nephew.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Thursday from 6 – 9 pm, with an evening service at 8 pm. The interment will follow at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery on Friday at 2 pm.
