Roxbury Township, Mrs. Geraldine L. Yates, 95, of Succasunna, NJ, passed away on January 1, 2017.

Gerry was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 11, 1921 to the late Robert A and Mary L Fleming. She graduated from Girls High in Philadelphia and also studied at Temple University.

Gerry was married to B. Ross Yates on September 23, 1950 and they lived in New York City, and Long Island prior to moving to Succasunna in 1960.

Gerry worked at the Roxbury Public Library for many years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, bridge and collecting antiques. She was also actively involved in the Roxbury Woman’s Club serving as President and was a Charter Member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Gerry is survived by her sons Robert Alan (and Linda), David Craig (and Francene), and Eric Scott (and Janice), 6 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ross in 1988.

Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am on Friday January 6, with the Service at 11 am, at Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com). The burial will be held at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Succasunna.
