Hopatcong, Mr George W Mazur, Jr, 77, came to rest on April 29, 2019 at home in Hopatcong. He was born and raised in Newark, before moving to Hopatcong 49 years ago. He was a Master Butcher in the UFAW Union Local #464 A in Little Falls, NJ. He worked at the Newark Food Town for 52 years. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing with his children and then grandchildren on Lake Hopatcong. He also enjoyed working on cars and anything mechanical.

He is survived by his wife Edna Mae (Sheridan) Mazur married 56 years, and by his daughter Paula Ann (and Arthur) Slegers of Hopatcong, and son George Jeffrey (and Catherine) Mazur of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves his 5 grandchildren; Charlie (and Jenna), Christopher, Bryan, Tyler, and David, and by his great granddaughter Dahlia.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday from 3 – 7 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, 6 pm at the Funeral Home.
