Roxbury Township, Mr. George Steven Vadas, 79, died on November 23, 2019 at the Paragon Village in Mt. Olive Township. He was born in Glen Ridge and grew up in West Caldwell. He later lived in Roxbury Township most of his life. He served in the U S ARMY during the Viet Nam War and later became a draftsman at the Automatic Switch Company in Florham Park.
He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn (Holden) Vadas in 2015 and by his son James Vadas in 2011. He is survived by his 3 children; Christine (and Robert) Cooper, Cheryl (and Michael) Campbell, and Tim (and Christine) Vadas, his daughter-in-law Debbie Hooper, 11 grandchildren; Courtney, Matthew, Brandon, Isabella, Alex, Elliot, Jacob, Warren, Kaylee, Spencer and Cody a great granddaughter Mackenzie, and by his sister Virginia Simms.
George was a loving and dedicated family man who had many passions. He was on a bowling league, coached many years of soccer, basketball and baseball. He had a great love for Golf and most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren and the rest of his family.
