Elizabeth’s love for her family was the most important thing in her life.  Her words of wisdom and support will live with them forever.  During her early years as editor, she corresponded with and developed a dear friendship with the late J. Paul Getty, visiting him in London many times.  Her accomplishments are many, but the most important one was being the matriarch of her family.

She is survived by her 2 daughters; Kathryn Jafarzadeh of Chatham and Karen (and Robert) Ucci of Succasunna. She also leaves her 2 sisters; Ethel Maris of Texas and Winifred Jacobson of Virginia, 6 grandchildren; Omid, Steven, Jennifer, Anthony, Michael, and Michelle, 2 great grandchildren; Juniper and Leo, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Diana Briant in 1998.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday from 2 – 5 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 4 pm, The family will return on Monday, 10 am at the Funeral Home, before the interment at the Succasunna Methodist Cemetery.
