Mount OliveTwp.,  Dr. Peter J Cascella, 63, died on February 13, 2011 at home.  He was born and raised in Staten Island and lived in Maryland before moving to Budd Lake 18 years ago.  He did his undergraduate studies at Temple University and earned his Doctorate in Pharmacology at the University of Houston, and became a professor at the University of South Dakota.  He was a Pharma Kinetics Scientist and owned Drug Development Resources in Budd Lake.

He is survived by his wife Karen Berglund Cascella of 18 years ,and 4 children; Laura and Jennifer Cascella, and Peter and Kirsten Varney, all of Maryland.  He also leaves his mother Josephine Cascella of Staten Island and sister Denise Lomangino of Brooklyn.

 Friends may visit the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna, NJ (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Thursday from 9 – 11  am. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 11 am, at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Moravian Cemetery in Staten Island.
