Roxbury Township,   Mrs. Dorothy Lillian McBride, 82, died on February 7, 2012 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover. She was born in Flushing, Queens, NY and grew up in Morristown. She was a Morristown High School graduate and in 1952 she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Religious Education from Nyack College. She then moved to Succasunna 55 years ago. She retired in 1989 from NJ Bell in Morristown where she was a telephone operator for many years. She was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and member of the Washington Valley Chapel in Morristown.

 She is survived by her husband of 60 years, D. Vernon McBride , her 3 children; Mary Ruth McBride of Coudersport, PA, Patricia McBride of Succasunna, and Rebecca (and Kenneth) Dunkerley of Bradford, PA, 4 grandchildren; Sarah McBride, and Kenny, Karissa, and Christina Dunkerley, and by her brother David Luck, Sr. of Myrtle Beach, SC.

 Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, 2pm at Washington Valley Chapel, 57 Kahdena Road in Morristown with a reception following the service. Arrangements are by the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264)  davishepplewhitefh.com.
