Roxbury Township, Mr. Charles Edward Poindexter, 72, died on July 4, 2013 at the Compassionate Care Center in Dover. He was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi and lived in Dover before moving to Succasunna 10 years ago. He was a 1986 graduate of Kean College and worked in Information Technologies at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Morristown, and was a very active bowler before is illness.  Charles bowled for the Monday Night Early in Rockaway on Monday’s, the Morristown Business Men on Thursday’s in East Hanover and the Utopians on Saturday’s Boonton, NJ

He is survived by his wife Linda D (Strater) of 28 years, son Craig Sr. Poindexter of Syracuse, NY, grandson Craig Jr. of Roselle, NJ and 2 sisters; Rosie Moss of  Brookhaven, Mississippi and Ella Poindexter of Charlotte NC.

Friends may visit at the Union Baptist Church, 89 Spring Street, in Morristown on Monday from 7 – 9 pm. And again on Tuesday morning from 10 – 11 am. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am at the Church with the interment to follow at the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in East Hanover.
