Roxbury Township, Mr. Arthur John Werth, Jr., 73, died on June 7, 2011 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was born in Paterson and lived in Clifton before moving to Succasunna 34 years ago. He served in the U S Navy from 1956-1958. He started working at Western Electric as a P B X Installer and later worked for A T & T and Lucent Technologies in Liberty Corner as a Serviceman Level #5 before retiring in 1998. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Clifton.
Mr. Werth was predeceased by his wife Mary (McCrone) in 1997 and is survived by his 6 children; Patricia (and Michael) Coviello of Hackettstown, Lisa (and Joe) Oefelein of Pleasanton, CA, A J III, of Long Valley, Linda (and Ken) DeGraw of Andover, Deborah (and Dave) Reinert of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Raymond (and Kathleen) Werth of Yardley, PA. He also leaves his 14 grandchildren; Eric, Sean, Sara, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Dean, Mitch, Jake, Brandon, Samantha, Kenny, Stephen, Chris, and Everett.
Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, 9:30 am, at St. Therese RC Church in Succasunna, with the interment to follow at the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
