Roxbury Township, Ann Pauline Adolfsen, 99, of Succasunna, NJ, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Tuesday morning, August 19. She was born April 4, 1915, in Lista, Norway, to Bernt and Bolette Tonnesen. In March, 1948, she immigrated to Brooklyn, New York. On May 28, 1949, she married her husband, Syvert Adolfsen, who immigrated from Borhaug, Norway. In 1954, she moved to Succasunna, New Jersey.
She was predeceased by her husband, Syvert, who passed away in Nov, 1983. She leaves behind her daughter, Gerd Brita Hemenway, and her husband, John, residing in Leominster, MA and her daughter, Sylvia Adolfsen, who is a Missionary with Global Outreach Missions in Belize. Pauline also leaves behind grandson, David Hemenway, and his wife, Lisa, residing in Sunnyvale, CA, and grandson, Stephen Hemenway, of Leominster, MA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Norway.
Calling hours will be Thursday, August 28, from 7 to 9 pm at Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com), 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ. On Friday, Aug 29, at Bethlehem Church, 758 Rt. 10, Randolph, NJ, visitation will be from 9-10 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 10. After the Funeral Service, cars will leave for the interment at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Ave, East Hanover, NJ. In Pauline’s memory donations may be made to Global Outreach Mission, P.O.
