Roxbury Township, Mrs. Annie “Doreen” Wright, 94, died on December 18, 2020 at the Merry Heart Assisted Living Center. She was born at home in Succasunna and has been a lifelong resident. Starting in 1957, she was a substitute teacher at the Lincoln School and then graduated from Kean College in 1971, where she earned her BA in Education. She then became a Librarian at the Roxbury Township Public Library for 21 years. She was a life member of the Succasunna United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, 61 year Choir Member, and served on the Church Membership Committee. She was also a founding member of the Roxbury Women’s Club, and member of the Boy Scout Mother’s Club, and Girl Scout Leader.

She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Annie Hosking, and was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” L Wright, Sr in 2001, and by her daughter Carol Wright Searle, and granddaughter Heather Stigliano.

She is survived by her daughters; Susan Lynn Wright of Succasunna, Linda (and Bob) Yates of Succasunna, Sarah (and Philip) Shaw of Palm Bay, FL, and son John L Wright, Jr of Key West, FL. She also leaves her 6 grandchildren;  Victoria (and Brian) Dzuban, Ronald (and Elizabeth) Searle, Thomas Stigliano, Tamara Yates, Hilary (and Patrick) Collins, and Kian Shaw, and 2 great grandsons; Erik and Logan Searle, and great granddaughter Aislinn Collins.

Arrangements are by the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) The Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 28^th, 11 am, at the Succasunna Methodist Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
