Kathryn H Porcelli

Roxbury Township,  Kathryn Ann Houston Porcelli passed away on April 21, 2024.  Kathy was born on June 17, 1962 in Syracuse, New York to William Byron Houston Sr. and Carol Evelyn Houston, nee Cox.  She grew up in Glen Ridge, New Jersey and went to college at Colgate University, where she was inducted into the Konosioni Society (now known as the Tredecim Senior Honor Society) and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics & Economics in 1984.  After graduation, she worked for Equitable Insurance Company in New York as an Operations Manager.

It was at a Knights of Columbus convention in Wildwood NJ that she met the love of her life Thomas Anthony Porcelli.  They were married on May 14, 1988.  After her children were born, Kathy retired and became a full time home-maker.  Kathy and Tom raised two children together in Bloomfield, New Jersey and Succasunna, New Jersey.  Kathy was active in her town, especially in Girl Scouts.  She excelled in research and planning and enjoyed organizing family vacations in the Outer Banks, as well as numerous trips to National Parks.  She enjoyed hiking and spent many weekends exploring trails in New Jersey.

Kathy is predeceased by her father: William Byron Houston Sr.  She is survived by her husband Tom, her children Allison Houston Porcelli (Christopher Hart) and Thomas Anthony Porcelli Jr. (Victoria Le Count), her mother Carol Houston, and her siblings William Byron Houston Jr. (Vickie Chang) of Costa Rica, and Mary Elizabeth Faust (Steven) of Jefferson Township, NJ, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home at 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1 pm to 4 pm, with a Celebration of Her Life Service at 3 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s memory to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer https://lustgarten.org/  or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network https://pancan.org/
