Roxbury Township,       Mr. Eugene D. Oliynik, 89, died on November 6, 2011 at Holy Manor nursing home in Mendham. He was born in Newark and grew up in Irvington. He lived in Summit for many years before moving to Succasunna 5 years ago. He served in the U. S. Army in the European Theater during WWII.  He worked as a draftsman in Newark many years ago, and was an avid gardener, Yankee fan, and amateur HAM radio operator.

He was predeceased by his wife Alice (Soloway) Oliynik in 1986. He is survived by his 2 sons; Eugene Daniel Oliynik, Jr. of Barnegat, and Robert and (Deborah) Oliynik of Succasunna, 3 Grandchildren; Daniel Oliynik, Robin Larbalestrier, and Matthew Oliynik, and a Great-Granddaughter Samantha Oliynik.

Arrangements are by the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973)-584-7264 davishepplewhitefh.com. A graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, 2 pm, at the Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Kenilworth.
