Roxbury Township, Charles “Bud” Simon, Jr., 78, died on May 27, 2015 at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born and raised in Kingston, PA, and lived in Dover and Lake Hopatcong before moving to Roxbury Township 47 years ago. He served in the U S Army from 1955-1957. He was a realtor for Joe Tekula Realty in Succasunna for 29 years and previously owned Bud’s Restaurant in Kenvil and the Eleventh Frame Snack Bar in Ledgewood and, earlier worked for the Dugan Bread Co. He was a former member of the Roxbury Rotary Club and Masonic Lodge, was an avid bowler who was inducted into the “Bowling Hall of Fame.” He had many “perfect” games and coached even experienced bowlers. He was also an avid golfer and cooked for countless charities, events, and anyone in need. He also felt strongly about organ and tissue donation.

He is survived by his wife Patricia A (Shupe) Simon of 55 years, 4 daughters; Patricia (and William) Hovey of Rockaway, Cheri Alexander of Roxbury, Dianna (and Robert) Ewton of Succasunna, and Lisa Simon of Joppa, MD. He also leaves his 10 grandchildren; Caitlin (and William), Karlyn (and Jim), Matthew, Simon, Lindsay, Jacqueline (and Michal), Alexa, Kristyn, Cydney, and Zuri, and 8 great grandchildren; Kyleigh, Mackenzie, Mason, Kennley, Ethan, Elaina, Emily, and Vivian.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Monday from 4-7 pm. The Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday at 6:30 pm. The interment will be private.
