Mt. Olive Township, Mr. Nathaniel Reed Kaar, 86, died on January 18, 2015 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was born in Independence Twp., and lived all of his life in Flanders, NJ. He graduated from Roxbury High School in 1947. He was a truck driver for the Roadway Express Company in Rockaway and was a 60 year member of the Musconetcong Masonic Lodge F & A M # 42. He also enjoyed working on cars and square dancing.

He was predeceased by his first wife of 51 years, Jennie (Michnewicz) in 2004. He is survived by his wife Ruth M (Reynolds) of 2 years, daughter Jeanne M (and Joseph) Cesari of Bangor, PA, 2 grandsons; Christopher and Nicholas Cesari, and 4 step-children; Patricia Molinari, Ruth Bowsfield, Kenneth Covert, and Michele Melody.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday from 6 – 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday 10 am at the Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at the Flanders Hillside Cemetery in Succasunna.
