Roxbury Township, Mr. Francis C Ernst, 88, died on February 19, 2014 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Utica, NY and lived in Whitesboro, NY before moving to Succasunna, NJ 49 years ago. He served in the U S Navy during WW II and was a retired Government Contractor at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Township for many years. He was a member of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna and a former member of St. Paul’s R C Church in Whitesboro, NY.

He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Lange) in 1993 and is survived by his 2 sons; Douglas F (and Cindy) Ernst of Stillwater, NJ and Dr. David J (and Nancy) Ernst of East Windsor, NJ, brother George Ernst of Ewing, NJ, 9 grandchildren; Kelly Kays, Stacey, Kevin, Lauren, Victoria, Rebecca, Ramona, Olivia, and David, and by his great granddaughter Margaret Rose Kays.
