Roxbury Township, Mary McCabe, 85, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. She was born in New York City and was raised in the Bronx before moving to Landing, New Jersey in 1968. She worked as a Secretary for Motorola, Inc. and then worked in Accounts Receivable for Casio of America, from which she retired in 2003.

She was a loving and devoted mother, who always put her children first.  She especially loved her role as Nanny, and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph McCabe of 63 years, her sister, Julia Robinson Agate, and her parents, Thomas and Jean Murphy.  She is survived by her four children: Colleen (and Michael) Pugliesi of Stroudsburg, PA; Peggy (and Larry) Marron of Hackettstown, NJ; Susan (and Kevin) Magnotta of Hackettstown, NJ; and Thomas (and Karlene) McCabe of San Diego, CA. She also leaves behind her 11 grandchildren: Christopher (and Krista), Kevin (and Jess), and Eric Pugliesi; Brian, Katie, Tim and Kelly Marron; Danielle, Kevin, Sean and Erin Magnotta; and four great grandchildren: Leander, Gwyneth, Callie and Jack Pugliesi, along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com), on Monday, April 1st from 4 to 7 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd at 10 am, St. Therese Church in Succasunna, followed by interment at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
