Roxbury Township,  Mrs. Dorothy M. Hall, 86 , passed away peacefully on May 23, 2013 at the Regency Grande Nursing Center in Dover. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Lake Hiawatha for many years before moving to Ledgewood over 25 years ago.

She was a past president of the Rosary Society at St. Peter the Apostle RC Church in Parsippany and remained an active member at both St. Clement in Rockaway and St. Therese in Succasunna. She was married to Jack, her childhood sweetheart, for 61 years, who passed away in 2011. She retired from the Parsippany school system after holding the position of Head Secretary at Troy Hill’s Elementary school for 23 years, and still referred to the students there as “her kids.” She enjoyed listening to music, reading, crafting, and of course shopping. She did volunteer work at St. Clair’s in Denville, for both the hospital and as a member of the staff for the fall Harvest Festival where she also donated her much sought after holiday creations. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially summer vacations in Vermont where in the evening she would play board games with her grandchildren along with a bowl of ice cream.  Her home was her pride and her family her love.

She is survived by her son John G Hall and daughter-in-law Cathy of Landing, grandchildren; Michelle and her husband David Brecher, Ryan and his wife Dana Hall, and great grandson Cameron Brecher.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tue 5/28/2013, 10am, at St. Therese R.C. Church, 155 Main St., Succasunna, NJ, with the interment to follow at the Flanders Hillside Cemetery in Succasunna.
