Roxbury Township, Mrs. Edna M “Jackie” Schneider, 92, died on December 31, 2012 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover. She was born in Teboe (Rockaway Twp) and grew up in Mt. Hope (Rockaway Twp) and went to the Rockaway High School. She then moved to Succasunna 70 years ago, when she married the love of her life Cap Schneider.  She was a homemaker and during WW II she worked at Picatinny Arsenal. She was an active member of the Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church where she taught Sunday School for 38 years. She was also a member of the Ever-Young Senior Citizens Club, Alaskan Malamute Club of America, Empire Alaskan Malamute Association and loved crocheting, reading the bible, and especially spending time caring for her family.

 

 She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence “Cap” Schneider in 2002 and by her son Larry in 2005. She is survived by her daughters; Cindy (and Bob) Skyler of Succasunna and Lori (and Ernie) Muller of Harlem, GA. She also leaves her 7 grandchildren; Jessica and Jason Fisk, Keri and Adrian DeKorte. Brielle and Greg Hildebrand, Damien Franchi, Kirtis and Loni Schneider, Brian Schneider, and Chris and Cathy Schneider, and 9 great grandchildren; Skyler, Ethan, and Riley Fisk, Mya and Adrianne DeKorte, and Chance, Guage, Tevica and Davon Schneider.

 

 Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday from 2-6 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, 10 am at the Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church, with the interment to follow at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
