Florham Park, NJ, Mr. William (Bill) L Haake, Jr., 89, died on September 28, 2023 at the Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Center in Florham Park.  Two of his daughters were with him. Bill was born at Morristown Memorial Hospital and grew up in Denville. He raised his family in the Mooney Mountain section of Roxbury and lived elsewhere in northern NJ before moving to Florham Park 2 years ago. He served in the U S Army from 1956 – 1958, and earned his bachelor’s Degree from Hobart College, and later his Master’s Degree from Seton Hall University. He was the owner and President of Contemporary Computer Systems in Ledgewood.

Bill was predeceased by his wife Margaret “Peggy” Haake of 56 years, and is survived by his 4 children; Jennifer Cartelli, Peter Haake and wife Barbara, Kathy Haake and Cyndi Marchand and husband Eric, grand children; Jon Marchand, Alex Marchand, Sara Cartelli, Zachary Haake and Aaron Cartelli.

Bill loved building and fixing things around the house, especially using power tools.  In his later years, Bill enjoyed spending time with his good friend Marilyn Grossman and cat Willie.
