Roxbury Township,  Mrs. Virginia Marie Evans, 83, died on October 15, 2012 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover. She was born and raised in Netcong and lived in Kenvil before moving to Ledgewood 52 years ago. She was a homemaker and worked at Picatinny Arsenal many years ago, and was a member of the Ever-Young Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by her husband Leland “Lee” T Evans of 60 years, and by her 3 children; Leland (and Diann) Evans of Mine Hill, Brian Evans of Milford, PA, and Bruce Evans of Freedon Township. She also leaves her sister Carmella McDonald of Berkshire Valley, brother Anthony (and Gloria) Barrett of N.C., and sister Barbara Naussar of Atlanta, GA, 4 grandchildren; Michael, Sean, and Britton Evans, Jessica (and Frank) Cannon, and great grandson Collin Cannon.

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com on Wednesday from 3 – 5 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 12 noon at the Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at the Stanhope Union Cemetery.
