Roxbury Township, Mrs. Verna L Pancoast, 92, died on April 16, 2022 at the Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey Hospice in Dover, NJ. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, moving to Landing 49 years ago. She was a retired secretarial worker for Lutheran Brotherhood Publications in Philadelphia and member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Succasunna. She was an avid bowler most of her life and participated in many National Bowling Tournaments.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert Z Pancoast in 1983 and is survived by her 3 children; Robert T (and Mary) Pancoast of Newport News, VA, Steven P (and Becky) Pancoast of Suffolk, VA, and Linda S Alven of Landing. She also leaves her 7 grandchildren; Bonnie Pancoast, William Alven, Jennifer Wachterhauser (and Scott), Jeremy Pancoast (and Angel), Mindy Pancoast, Andrew Pancoast and Sarah Evans, 4 great grandchildren; Alayna Alven, Chase Alven, Alexa Evans and Gavin Wachterhauser, and her brother Harry L Gedicke of Landing.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home,96 Main St., Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday (April 20th) from 6 – 8 pm, with the Funeral Liturgy being held at 7:30 pm. The interment will follow on Thursday at 11:30 am at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Huntingdon Valley, PA.
