Allamuchy Twp., Mr. Tom L Draves, 82, died on October 30, 2021 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice in Fredon Township. He was born March 3, 1939 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to Mark and Fern (Gilkey) Draves. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School, he then earned his BS in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) in 1963.

A long career in retailing was spent with J. C. Penny, Federated Department Stores, Macy’s, and Jamesway. Merchandising various departments took him to Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. His last ten years in retailing were owning and operating Crafts Galore in Flanders, New Jersey.

Tom’s many hobbies involved sports and photography. He loved taking pictures of fireworks and scenery, especially when visiting Great Britain, the Caribbean, Mexico, California and many states in the South and New England.

In 1960 he married Judith (Niemann) Draves who survives him. Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie (and Archer) Jones, grandchildren, Shane and Hannah Jones, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Both parents and brothers Mark and Keith predeceased him.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church in Mendham on Saturday, November 13^th, at 1 pm.
