Hackettstown, Mr. Thomas Alan Davo, 66, died on October 9, 2024 at home. He was born in Chicago and grew up in Roxbury Township. He went to St. Therese School, then to the Roxbury High School for 3 years, and graduated from West Morris High School. He was a retired electronics worker for the M E C A Electronics Company in Denville.
He was a Jack of all Trades, always offering to help anyone who needed their car, lawnmower, dryer or a myriad of other household appliances fixed, and he especially excelled at repairing electrical issues. If you needed a ceiling fan mounted, Tom would be there with his brown toolbag which usually had the necessary tools for the job. If by chance the job was move involved, he’d take as many trips to the hardware store as were needed to complete the project. He was a lifetime amateur aquaculturist with multiple tank setups. Tom tinkered with short wave radios and loved creating his own electrical systems in his home. He also enjoyed pet ownership, having a special affinity for black cats named Kitty.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters; William Davo of Port Murray; Joan Glennon of Alexandria Township; James Davo of Hackettstown; Carol Battista of Newton; Michael Davo of Morristown; Ronald Davo; and Mary Wrede of Randolph; as well as 13 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ronald and Margaret Davo, and by his sister Linda Davo.
