Roxbury Township, Mr. Stanley Sugarman, 88, died on January 2, 2026 at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Monticello, NY and lived in Denville before moving to Succasunna 58 years ago. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Buffalo in 1963. He also served in the Army reserves from 1961-1967, his active duty time was served at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri.  He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Department of the US Army for 50 years, 48 of those at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Twp where he received many awards and accolades for his diligent work. He retired in 2013. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed working around the house.

He is predeceased by his parents; Philp and Sylvia (Rosen) Sugarman and his brothers; Arthur & Melvin.

He is survived by Patricia (Lesay) Sugarman; his wife of almost 62 years, his three sons; David (Shari), Mark (Renee),  Scott (Kelly) and his four grandsons; Ryan, James, Daniel, and Tyler.

A private burial and service will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. Arrangements are by the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264.
