Samuel Bernard Beale

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Samuel Bernard Beale, who tragically passed away on April 14, 2024. Sam, age 20, was born in Jupiter, Florida but led a life surrounded by love in Roxbury Township.

In his short life, Sam radiated light. A sophomore at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, Sam was known for his laughter, which was accompanied by his trademark smile, as well as his love of music, amassing a collection of vinyl records that he enjoyed on a daily basis. He graduated from Roxbury High School in 2022, where he spent time on the cross country, track, golf and robotics teams. A devoted member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R C Church in Flanders, Sam’s faith and kindness touched the lives of many through his hundreds of hours of service to those less fortunate.

Sam was unique to this world, and everyone has a funny Sam story that can be shared. Not afraid to embrace his inner “geek” Sam was an avid enthusiast of Star Wars, and was able to debate anyone who was willing to listen on which was his favorite (Episode IV A New Hope of course!).  Second only to Star Wars was his love of all things Forrest Gump, from Halloween costumes to Bubba Gump shrimp. When not watching movies or gaming, Sam would take it upon himself to tackle collector’s version Lego projects, most recently completing The Millennium Falcon.

His spirit lives on through the cherished memories he created with family and friends, whether celebrating Thanksgiving at Vogel State Park, Christmas in Boston, summers on Cape Cod, or missing the first Friday of every school year at the Big E. Sam is survived by his loving parents, Jim Beale and Nicole Tesmer, his brother JJ, maternal grandparents Bernard and Mary Tesmer, and paternal grandparents Samuel and Joyce Beale. He also leaves behind his Uncle Greg Tesmer and Aunt Maureen, along with Uncle Samuel Beale, Aunt Paula Beale Hamrick, and cousins Melissa, Mackenzie, Joanna, Stephanie, Erica, Ally, Cinthia, Angel and many other beloved family members.

Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ (973) 584-7264,   www.davishepplewhitefh.com, on Friday, April 19th, from 4 to 7 pm. A funeral mass celebrating Sam’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 20th, at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R C Church, 61 Main Street, Flanders, NJ (973) 927-1629. The Mass will be offered to a live stream at https://youtube.com/live/LEMu4VbukHw?feature=share

Always one to give to others, Sam chose to selflessly give of himself through organ donation, allowing others to lead full and happy lives. In lieu of flowers, donations are being graciously accepted to honor Sam through a Memorial Scholarship at Roxbury High School, 1 Bryant Drive, Succasunna, NJ 07876. Contributions will be accepted by check written to Roxbury High School with a notation “Samuel Beale Memorial Scholarship”.

Our hearts break with your passing and you will be loved and missed forever.
