Dover, Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Davis, 83, died on April 13, 2013 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton. She was born in Ledgewood and lived in Morristown most of her life before moving to Dover 29 years ago. She was a teacher’s aide and nurse’s aide in the Dover School system for many years. She was also a volunteer at Dover General Hospital and loved dancing with her friends and family.

She was predeceased by her husband Walter W in 2005, sisters; Verna Milliron in 2006 and Josephine Lance on April 9, 2013. She is survived by her 3 children; Karen D (and Robert) O’Connor of Long Valley, Walter “Rusty” III (and Kathy) Davis of Franklin, and Lisa Davis-Hicks of Dover, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and sister Barbara Davis of PA.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Thursday from 9 – 10 am. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 10 am, at the Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at the Succasunna Methodist Cemetery.
