Wonderful Husband and Devoted Dad

Succasunna, Rocco A. Lania, 64, passed away on April 29, 2020. He was the husband of Rene (Tedeschi). They shared 33 years of marriage full of laughter and family. Rocco was born in Passaic, NJ, son of Michael and Madeline (Origoni) Lania. He grew up in Kearny and raised his own family in Succasunna for the past 22 years. He graduated from Kearny High School, became a dental technician aka “The Tooth Man”, and owned Legg Dental Lab for over 27 years.  He was a Freemason, Past Master and member of Acacia Lodge #20. He was looking forward to retirement, which included traveling with his wife and cruising the backroads in his red mustang rocking out to MeatLoaf. We’ll miss him terribly and he’ll always be “Our Rock”.

He is survived by his wife Rene and children, Kelly and Michael; Father, Michael Lania; nephew of Francis Kobylarz, Lucille and Wayne Mehalick; sisters-in-law Diane Tedeschi and Angela Reynoso; cousins; many friends; Freemason brothers. He was predeceased by his mother, Madeline and In-laws Ralph and Irene Castellano.

Arrangements are by the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com). The entombment will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ at a later date.
