Roxbury Township, Mr. Robert A Smith, Sr., 80, died on October 14, 2021 at home. He was born and raised in Newark and moved to Succasunna 54 years ago. He was the owner of Allstate Vending Company and then worked for Yellow Freight in Pine Brook.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia E (Groninger) Smith of 60 years. He met his future wife when they were 9 years old. He leaves his daughter Robin (and Eric) Shenk and son Robert A Smith, Jr. He also leaves his 5 grandchildren; Candice (Eric) Linzmayer, Justin (Ashley) Messina, Ryan (Kelsey) Messina, Jason Messina and Amanda Smith, 5 great grandchildren Adelyn, Elaina, Morgan,  Jordana and Colton and 3 step great grandchildren, Brandon, Adriana and Malia. He was predeceased by his daughter, Debra Smith.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Monday, October 18^th, from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 11 am, at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
