Mr. Richard Robert Waldron, 91, of Roxbury Township, passed on December 13, 2014 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. Born in Mt. Arlington, he was 1 of 8 children. He lived in Ledgewood most of his life. He proudly served in both the U.S. Army Air Force and Marine Corps during WWII, as an airplane engine mechanic. He later retired as a skilled welder for G.D.I. Following his retirement, he worked for Deb’s Auto Parts in Hopatcong.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Eva Waldron in 1991 and is survived by his 4 children; Georgetta (and Victor) Dean of Ledgewood, Richard (and Dawn) Waldron of Hopatcong, Allen Waldron of Maine, and Darlene (and Kevin) Allmann of Lakehurst; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) Wednesday beginning at 11 am. The Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm, at the Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
