Mt. Arlington, Mr. Richard L Husni, 93, died on November 12, 2022, with his loving children and grandchildren at his side. He was born and raised in Weehawken and graduated from Weehawken High School and moved to Mt Arlington in 1969. He was a retired Lab Technician at A T & T in Whippany for 30 years. He previously served in the U S Air Force and later became a Volunteer Fireman for 30 years and then joined the Rescue Squad as an EMT for 15 more years. He served on the Town Council and as the Welfare Director.

He was predeceased by his wife Pauline Husni in 2014, and by his son Richard Husni in 1973. He leaves his 3 children;  Denise Lauther of Mt. Arlington, Diane (and David) Rhodes of Mt. Arlington, and Christopher (and Gysella) Husni of Arizona, 4 grandchildren; Brittany Lauther, Megan (and Richard) Veliz, Taylor (and Thomas) Hind, Paige Rhodes, 3 great grandchildren; Elora, Benjamin, and Lucas.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ. (973)-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday November 16^th, from 4 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 10 am, at the Funeral Home, followed by the interment at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
