Michael Babyak, Jr.

Randolph Township, NJ, Mr. Michael Babyak, Jr. (78). On Friday, September 4, 2015. Michael lost his battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at his home surrounded family.

Born in New York City, and raised on Monroe St., Passaic by the late Michael Sr. and Mary P. Babyak. Michael was a United States Navy veteran (1954-1958), serving aboard the U.S.S. Hancock and Yorktown, as well as an Air Force veteran (1958-1962) , where he was proud to be part of “Showtime McGuire” in both production and performance capacities.

He maintained an active role in the community, serving as a Randolph Twp. Councilman, Vice Chair of the R.V.R.S.A, and co-founder and trustee of his church, Holy Wisdom. He was a member of the Randolph Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Randolph VFW, Mine Hill American Legion Post 391 and the Randolph Rotary, where he was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award. Michael gained distinction as State President of the National Association of Life Underwriters, Life Member of Million Dollar Roundtable, and Ethics Chair of the North Jersey CFP. He was a member of Passaic Turners, and the Paterson YMCA Circus Club.

Mr. Babyak was Founder and Chairman of Precision Financial Services over 50 years, as well as co-founder and Chairman of the Board for Heritage Community Bank, and co-owner of Tri-County Gymnastics.

 

Michael is survived by his wife Ethel M “Babs” Babyak of 54 years and by his 5 children; Michel Briod of Mine Hill, Mary Alice Marinello and husband Joseph of Avon Ct., Marci Rittie and husband Jason of Green Twp NJ, Melissa Norwicke and husband Gary of Knowlton, NJ and Michael Babyak Jr II and wife Phyllis of Randolph. He also leaves his 9 grandchildren; Christina, Alyssa, Justin, Brandon, Angela, Ryan, Julia, Gwen and Shannon.

 

Friends are invited to visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Sucasunna, NJ (973 584-7264 www.davishepplewhitefh.com) NJ on Monday, September 7 and Tuesday, September 8 from 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral of the Devine Liturgy will be held on Wednesday 9/9 at 10 am, hosted by the Resurrection Parish RC Church in Randolph with interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Randolph.
