SUCCASUNNA – Mary A. Nixon, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026 at home surrounded by family.  She was 96 3/4 years old.  She was the wife of the late Harry H. Nixon Jr.

She was born and raised in Wharton NJ.   Mary was the daughter of Daniel C. Milsom and Nellie V. (Geiger).  She and her late husband build a home in 1951 in Succasunna with the help of both of their fathers.  Mary was a Charter Member and Secretary and Sunday School Teacher at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Succasunna.

Mary was a typist and homemaker with a strong faith in GOD.   She took joy in her small cake baking/decorating business.  In her later years, she enjoyed phoning family and friends to check on their wellbeing.

Mary is survived by 3 children, Ruth A. Huntington of Florida, Daniel P. Nixon and Donna (Stephanic) of Newton, and Mark E. Nixon and Lisa (Carton) of Wantage.  Also, seven grandchildren: Jennifer Foreman, Brittney Pigeon, Adam Huntington, Danielle Nixon, Anthony D’Aiuto, Carmen D’Aiuto and Brianna D’Aiuto and five great-grandchildren: Julia Foreman, Kayla Pigeon, Alexa Pigeon, Jacob Pigeon and Hunter Gratton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27^th, at Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna NJ (973-584-7264) from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 203 Eyland Ave. Succasunna at 10 am on May 28th.  Interment to follow at Presbyterian Cemetery in Succasunna.
