Roxbury Township, Mrs. Martha Rose Brucato, 102, died on November 17, 2019 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home. She was born in Volturara Irpinia, Italy and came to the United States as a young woman. She lived in Belleville for many years before moving to Succasunna 29 years ago. She was a retired assembly worker at Westinghouse in Belleville. She was one of 11 children.

She was predeceased by her husband Albert A Brucato in 1998, her son Joseph in 2007, daughter Anne Donahue in 1969, and by one of her sister’s Norma Amoto this year.

She is survived by her son Kenneth A Brucato of Succasunna, grandson Allan (and Tracy) Brucato of Andover, granddaughter Tinamaria (and David) Crewdson of Branchburg, and by her 2 great grandchildren; Nicole and Corey DeFranco.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264     (davishepplewhitefh.com), on Thursday (November 21), from 3 – 7 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church, with the entombment to follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
