Martha B. Eadie, 93, passed away at home on February 14, 2021. Born in Orange, she graduated West Orange High School in 1945 and Berkley Secretarial School. She was a member of Roxbury Women’s Club when they founded the library in Succasunna. She retired from Warner-Lambert in Morris Plains where she had been a secretary in the legal department. She was active from then in Warner Lambert Seniors and the Suburbanites. She was a one-time president of Suburbanites, a women’s group. From the early 1980s to 1999 she was an active member and music librarian for Hickory Tree Chorus (//www.hickorytreechorus.org), a division of Sweet Adelines, an international choral group. She sang in annual shows and competitions including four international competitions. She traveled all over the country competing with them and cherished harmonizing with all the wonderful people she met and developing her singing voice.
Mrs. Eadie was predeceased by her husband, Henry G. Eadie, in 2000, and by her daughter, Kathryn Hamilton, in 2002. She is survived by her three children and their spouses–Linda Eadie of Virginia Beach; Douglas Eadie and wife, Barbara, of Middletown, RI; Lawrence Eadie and wife, Inger, of Succasunna. She also leaves her four grandchildren–Danielle Vasquez (Lenny), Megan Bingman (James), Ryan Hamilton (Mandy Gann), and Sean Hamilton–and seven great-grandchildren.
