Hope, NJ.   Marlene Yvonne Pericola, 75, died on January 5, 2026 at the Forest Manor in Hope, NJ. She was born in Newton and grew up in Hopatcong, NJ. She was a retired secretary for the 3M Company in East Hanover and enjoyed music, especially Motown, dancing, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Roger and Barbara McGowan of Lancaster, PA., and survived by her daughter Shannon Cullen of Netcong and Shannon’s husband Gene, 6 brothers and sisters; Eileen Petersen of Hopatcong, Kevin McGowan of Fridley, MN., Barbara Edwards of Hopatcong, Cindy Salgado of San Antonio TX., Scott McGowan of Milford, PA., and Matthew McGowan of York PA., 3 granddaughters, McKenna, Audrey, and Kelly, 10 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ973-584-7264 on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 2 pm to 6 pm, Marlene’s Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 5 pm. Donations may be made in her name to either the Alzheimer’s or Cancer Societies.
