On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Lois Plust, affectionately known as “Lala,” passed away under the compassionate care of Morristown Memorial Hospital, warmly embraced by the love of family and the devotion of friends from east to west coasts. A proud Trentonian, Lois’ education began at Kisthardt and continued through Grice, Hamilton High West, Glassboro State College, and Rider University. Her professional life reflected her natural leadership and warmth, with a successful career in Human Resources that culminated at Chugach Consolidated Solutions at Picatinny Arsenal.
Lois was kind, funny, generous, and thoughtful. She made everyone feel seen, accepted, and valued, and always found a reason to laugh, even in life’s hardest moments. She poured her heart into her family, partner, and friends. Known for her signature glasses and great hair, sparkly shoes and endless supply of work boots, yoga pillows and affinity for chocolate-covered cherries, Lois was a one-of-a-kind soul who lived with fierce love, authenticity, and joy.
Her family is deeply grateful to the extraordinary team of doctors, nurses, interns, aides, staff and chaplain at Morristown Memorial Hospital for their care and kindness. Joyful celebrations of Lois’ life will be held in the coming months.
