Butler, Lisa Beth Moore, 46, passed peacefully into eternity on November 30, 2012. She was born on February 21, 1966 with spina bifida. Her early survival was miraculous, and she led a full and active life, including traveling with family, working in various vocational centers, volunteering in children’s Sunday School, and enjoying the company of many friends. Lisa was the Easter Seals Poster Child for New Jersey in 1972. She graduated from Roxbury High School in 1987. Lisa loved her parents and brothers, many special relatives and friends, the church family at Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church, Jesus, babies, kittens, dolls, pink flowers, sunrises and sunsets, SkipBo, and the music of Randy Travis and The Gaithers.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Betty L. (Omundsen) Moore of Mt. Arlington, NJ, brother Eric A. Moore and sister-in-law Diana Palecek of Charlotte, NC, and brother Carl B. Moore of Pensacola, FL. Lisa was predeceased by her father, William A. Moore of Woodstock, VA.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Community Options group home in Butler, NJ where Lisa lived for the last four years for their care for her. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa’s memory may be made to the nursery school program of Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church.
Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com on Wednesday from 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 10 am, at the Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church, Succasunna, with the internment to follow at the Flanders Hillside Cemetery.
