Independence Township, Mrs. Linda Joyce Baylor, 67 passed away on November 12, 2018 at The Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover.  Born in Dover, she lived in Roxbury Township and Hackettstown before moving to Great Meadows where she spent the last 21 years.

Linda was a member of the class of 1969 at Roxbury High School and worked as an assistant to the Hackettstown Tax Assessor for 24 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones and hosted many picnics, family gatherings and surprise parties over the years.  She loved photography and was proud of the awards she won for several of her photographs. She loved to bake and decorate her home for every holiday and occasion.

Family meant everything to Linda, she had a passionate interest in genealogy and was happiest when spending time with her family. She had a smile that would light up a room even during her long battle with cancer. She fought with dignity and determination.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gary L. Baylor, a daughter: Tricia (and Kevin) Richards of Lower Mt. Bethel, PA, 4 sisters: Edie Holm  and Betty Clark in Fl, Gail Kmieczak in PA and Dorothy Holt in VA, a brother: Edward Rumble of Dover, NJ and by her beloved cat, Sharona. She will be missed dearly by countless others.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ  973-584-7264  (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Thursday, from 5  – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 10 am, with the interment to follow at the Restland Cemetery in East Hanover.
