Lenora Schoenfeld

August 3, 1932-August 16, 2018

“Grandma Lee” passed in her sleep on August 16, 2018.  As a classic Jersey Girl, she was a fighter, battling and beating back open-heart surgery, COPD and CHF, while trying to line up dinner dates with her doctors. She kept her sense of humor right up to the end.

Lee is survived by her children, Mitchel, (Linda), Gary  (Linda), and Regina Ashworth, her cherished grandchildren Jamie  (AJ Surridge), Michael Schoenfeld, and fiancé Erin Osborne, Amanda Ashworth and Fiancé Mike Coppola, and Michael and great grandchildren Aiden and Everett, and the favorite…Pippin.  She is predeceased by her husband Edmond Dessingue.

Lee was born in New York City, August 3^rd, 1932. Growing up in the Bronx she spent her life in the NY, NJ area.

While raising a family, she worked as a realtor, and in real estate investment.  Family was the most import thing to her.  Although geographically scattered, she kept tabs on and was full of advice for all.  No one loved a party more then Lee, and while she won’t be physically at Mike and Erin, and Amanda and Mikes wedding, she will be there in spirit.

Lee was an avid cook and took great pride in her soups. Aside from shopping and finding bargains (she loved being first one out on Black Friday), her favorite times were spent at the Jersey shore at Wildwood Crest, packing everyone in a single hotel room going out for ridiculous ice-cream Sundaes and sunning on the beach…even though she hated sand between her toes.  She loved taking Amanda shopping, and buying clothes for Michael.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 20, 2018 11 am to 1pm at Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home 96 Main St, Succasunna, NJ 07876
