Lee Anderson

Leland Russell Anderson “Lee” “62”, age 74, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Lyons, after a long illness. He was born May 6,1943 in Morristown, NJ. He was a lifetime resident of Succasunna. He was a proud graduate of Roxbury High School in 1962 and on most of the class reunion committees. He played football and was the heavy weight wrestler. Lee was a proud member of the 1962 Jersey Hills Conference Champion Wrestling Team at Roxbury coached by Richard Mirshak. He was in the U S Navy from 1963-1967 with 2 years in Japan. Lee had a big heart and could always make you laugh.

He worked for Aircraft Carrier in Boonton and Domb Lighting in Morristown before joining his father, C. Walter Anderson and Son Electrical Contractors. He was a licensed electrician for many years and continued the business till he retired. He was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna and belonged to the Roxbury Forever Young Senior Citizens, the American Legion, the NRA and the Salmon Family Association.

He was predeceased by his parents, C. Walter and Dorothy (Chamberlain) Anderson. He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Debbie Setters, of Ledgewood. He is survived by his brother Wayne (Joyce) in Tucson, Az., sisters Elaine Bearley in Shavertown, Pa. and Sue Anderson in Succasunna and his former sister-in-law Linda Anderson in Piscataway, NJ. He leaves his nieces and nephews: Janice (Fred) Fantuzzi in Saylorsburg, Pa; Joy Bearley in Harrisburg, Pa.; Lori (Keith) Wighard in Green Brook, NJ; Scott (Amijo) Bearley in Oxford, Pa. and Brian (Tara) Anderson in Hillsborough, NJ; his great nephews and nieces: Joey and Nick Fantuzzi, Abby, Katie and Lia Wighard, Chase and Blake Bearley and Natalie and Emma Anderson. And many cousins and friends.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 07876 at 973 584-7264 on Tuesday, October 24th from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be on Wednesday, October 25th at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 99 Main St., Succasunna with Interment following at the church cemetery. A Repass will then be held in the Church Hall.

Donations may be made in memory of Lee to The American Legion or First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna.
