Joseph F Stadelman

Roxbury Township, Mr. Joseph Fredrick Stadelman, 94, died on June 10, 2012 at the Hackettstown Community Hospital in Hackettstown. He was born in New York City and grew up in Freeport, LI, NY. He then lived in Randolph and Roxbury Township for 65 years before moving to the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown. He worked for the Curtiss Wright Corporation in Fairfield as a purchasing agent for 47 years. Following his retirement he started Crescent Associates, an engraving and woodworking company. He was a 50 year member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Succasunna, member of the Masonic Jepthah Lodge in Rockaway in the 50’s and 60’s. In the 1950’s he served the Millbrook Fire and Rescue squad, and was a coach for the Randolph Recreational Department. He was also a member of the Ever-Young Senior Citizens Club in Roxbury Township.

He was predeceased by his son Robert Joseph Stadelman in 2011, and is survived by his wife Florence (Vander Minden), son Jeffrey W (and Becky) Stadelman of Succasunna, granddaughters; Suzanne (and Dann) Stadelman-Thompson of Petaluma, CA, Megan (and David) Wartman of Washington, NJ, Kimberly (and Jeremy) Weyland of Apopka, FL and great grandchildren; Madison, Tyler, and Abigail.

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264)  davishepplewhitefh.com on Wednesday from 3 – 5 and 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 11 am, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Eyland Ave at Unneberg Ave, Succasunna. Donations may be made in his name to The Shepherd Fund at The House of the Good Shepherd, where they have been residing, 798 Willow Grove Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840 or the Redeemer Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
