Roxbury Township, Mr. Joseph “Chuck” Henry Meidling, 91, died on March 30, 2020 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home. He was born and raised in Orange, NJ; lived in East Orange, Highland Lakes, and retired in Brick, NJ before moving to Landing 4 years ago. He served in both the U S Army and U S Navy (Seabees) during the Korean War and later became a police officer and served as a firefighter for 35 years in East Orange where he achieved the position of Deputy Chief.

He was predeceased by his wife (of 59 years) Zenia (Fedik) Meidling in 2016 and is survived by his 3 children; Joseph James (and Cathy) Meidling of Millstone, NJ, Mary Ayn Meidling of Landing, and William (and Kristen) Meidling of St. Johns, FL. He also leaves his 7 grandchildren; Madelyn, Cassidy, Joseph, William, and John Meidling, and Sean and Peyton Cook.
