Mt. Arlington, Mr. John Martin Hammer, Jr., 90, died on March 27, 2014 at home. He was born in Newark and lived in Livingston before moving to Mt. Arlington 17 years ago. He served in the U S Army Air Corps during WW II. He was a retired quality control manager for the MEPCO Corporation in Morristown.

 He is survived by his wife Elaine Hammer of 70 years, 2 sons; John (and Karen) Hammer of Mt. Arlington and Ronald (and Sandra) Hammer of Washington, and 7 grandchildren; Laura, Kristopher, Daniel, Matthew, Ryan, Katie, Amanda, and 8 great grandchildren.
