Helen M. Scudder, age 87 passed away on April 21st at The Country Home, in Morris Plains, (where she was a short time resident). She lived in Succasunna for 30 years. She was born on July 26,1937 in St. Claires Hospital, Denville, NJ, daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Eckert) Bower of Dover, NJ. Helen grew up with 3 older sisters, June, Mary Jane, Edwardine and a younger brother Edward. She attended Dover High School.
She married James E. Scudder on July 18, 1959, at Sacred Heart Church in Dover, NJ. Helen worked at Howmet Aerospace in the waxing department in Rockaway, NJ for 25 years, and retired in 2001. Helen had 3 daughters, Catherine Wolf of Milford, PA, Susann Scudder of Bath, PA and Jamie Tevis of Mine Hill, NJ.
Helen has 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nathaniel, Michele, Michael, Jennifer, Kelly, Kevin, and Amanda, and has 10 great grandchildren.
She was a regular parishioner at St. Theresa’s Church in Succasunna, NJ for 30 years. Helen volunteered at the Roxbury Social Services for 5 years.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973 584 7264, on Thursday from 4 – 6 pm. The priest will do a Memorial Service on Thursday at 5:30 pm.
