Helen A Pellet

Mt. Arlington, Mrs. Helen Alma (Naismith) Pellet, 88, died on December 22, 2014 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. She was born in Hackensack and grew up in Woodcliff Lake and lived in Succasunna for 59 years before moving to Mount Arlington 2 years ago. She was a graduate of the Trenton State, Nursing Program and served her residency at Hackensack Hospital where she became a registered nurse. She was a nurse at the Eisenhower Middle School in Succasunna for 25 years, and was an active member of the Succasunna First Presbyterian Church and sang in their choir. She is a recipient of the James R Sprow Distinguished Service Award for her volunteerism as president and charter member of the Roxbury Township Garden Club. She volunteered many hours at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown, was a member of the Retired Nurses Association of NJ, the NJEA and loved sewing.

 She was predeceased by her husband William (of 45 years) in 1994. And is survived by her 3 children: Glenn (and Carol) Pellet, of Budd Lake, Carol (and Ronald) Hiscock, of Dallas Texas, Claudia (and Milovan) Beljin of Cincinnati Ohio, 5 grandchildren: Heather, Craig, Sarah, Natasha, and Anna, great granddaughter: Juniper, brother: Robert Naismith of VA, and sister: Dorothy Maligres, LI, NY.

 Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday from 2 – 4  & 6 – 8 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at Succasunna First Presbyterian Church, 99 Main St, on Saturday at 11 am, with the interment to follow at the Church Cemetery.
